Hustai National Park

DAY 1. Ulaanbaatar - Hustai

Khustain Nuruu, also known as Hustai National Park, is a wonderful national park located about 100 km west of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. It's known for its successful reintroduction of the endangered Takhi also known as Przewalski's horse. Here are the places we will visit in Khustain Nuruu:

  • Hustai National Park: This is the main park area, and it's home to a variety of wildlife, including takhi, red deer, marmots, and gazelles. You can go hiking, horseback riding, birdwatching, or simply relax and enjoy the scenery.

  • Khustai Mountains: This is the beautiful mountain range that we will tour in the area and stay in the ger camp overnight.

Lake Ugii

DAY 2. Hustai - Ogii Nuur

Karakorum 

DAY 7. Orkhon Valley - Karakorum

Karakorum was once the capital of the Mongol Empire, founded by Ögedei Khan in 1235. It was located in the Orkhon Valley of Mongolia, at the crossroads of major trade routes. The city was a cosmopolitan center, with people from all over Asia living and working there. It was also a major center of Buddhism, with many temples and monasteries.

Karakorum was destroyed in the 14th century, but its ruins have been excavated and are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ruins include the remains of the city walls, palaces, temples, and other buildings. Visitors to the site can see the foundations of the Great Khan's palace, the Erdene Zuu Monastery, and the Karakorum Museum.
